At Adaptyv, our high-throughput cloud lab enables protein designers to experimentally validate their proteins with the click of a button. We're building advanced molecular biology workflows, assay automation and software infrastructure to make it easy for our users to engineer better proteins. Since the launch of our beta access in June 2024 we've been growing rapidly and are now working with the fastest-moving protein design teams in the world, across tech bio startups, major AI companies and the biggest pharmas.

About the role

We are looking for a Scientific Partnership Specialist to act as the bridge between our protein engineering lab and our customers. You’ll work closely with biopharma, biotech, and life sciences companies, ensuring they get the most value from our high-throughput protein characterization workflows. This role combines deep scientific expertise with customer success—you’ll explain experimental results, guide customers through our data, and help them integrate our findings into their R&D pipelines.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring they understand and can act on the data we generate for them.

  • Explain complex biological data from protein characterization experiments, including binding affinity measurements, thermostability, aggregation and other assays.

  • Work directly with R&D teams in biotherapeutics and protein engineering, helping them interpret results and refine their experimental strategies.

  • Guide customers through our internal software, ensuring they can access, analyze, and integrate their data seamlessly.

  • Jump on customer calls as needed, providing expert insights, answering technical questions, and troubleshooting issues in real-time.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including wet lab scientists, automation engineers, and product developers, to ensure smooth project execution and customer alignment.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, making our workflows and customer interactions even more seamless.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong background in experimental biology, bioengineering, or a related field—someone who understands protein engineering and biotherapeutics development.

  • Hands-on experience with in vitro protein characterization techniques, such as binding affinity assays (SPR, BLI), thermostability analysis, aggregation studies, and biophysical measurements.

  • Excellent communication skills—able to translate complex scientific concepts into clear, actionable insights for customers.

  • Self-starter mentality—highly proactive, adaptable, and able to jump into customer interactions without hesitation.

  • Strong proficiency with software and data analysis tools, including internal platforms for accessing and interpreting experimental results.

  • Ability to build trust and authority when explaining wet lab workflows and data to customers.

  • Flexible and fast-moving, comfortable switching between scientific deep dives and customer interactions.

This role is perfect for a biologist or bioengineer who loves both science and working with people. You’ll help the best protein design team in the world to make faster, data-driven decisions, ensuring they get the most value from our platform.
