Autonomy Engineer / Intern (m/f/d) 50-100%

At 4QT we create net-zero propulsion systems for rugged environments, together with our partners from academia and industry, to contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions.

The 4QT drivetrain combines the technical benefits of electrical drivetrain systems and the extended range of internal combustion engines. The retrofittable 4QT system provides mobility solutions at minimal cost while reducing the CO2 footprint and fuel consumption.

Scope of work

• Make a 4 ton dumper optionally manned via remote control
• Starting with implementing remote-steering
• Then take complete ownership of the workstream
• Option to go for autonomy in a second step and full time position upon successful project completion

Preferred Qualifications

Autonomy at 4QT is a high risk high reward opportunity. We have done well hiring for values and training for skill. That being said it will be helpful to you in passing our entry tests, if you have

• Experience in electronics
• Played around with autonomy and remote control in previous projects
• Excellent digging in and delivering on time skills
• Willing to learn our “race-day” mentality of delivering on time, with zero project delay acceptable
• Comfortable with communicating in English and German, or willingness to enrol in language courses
